Signed off in October of 1983 as being airworthy, N83KM has won numerous
awards at fly-ins all over the midwest for its clean lines and flawless
finish. 26 years and 262.6 flight hours later, this immaculately maintained
aircraft still runs and flies superbly. The Continental O-200 100hp engine
currently swings a 58 x 67 prop, which moves the aircraft along at a very
comfortable pace, but still allows good take-off power for shorter runways.
This engine was completely overhauled to zero-time specifications before being
installed in this plane. With a complete avionics package including a handheld
GPS, this airplane has flown numerous cross-country flights with absolutely no
problems.
